Runner’s Guide

Pakistan’s first-ever tech run! Below are all the details and instructions to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for all participants.

General Guidelines

You will showcase your organization, the local industry and the city at this event
  • Follow all race rules and maintain a spirit of sportsmanship and collaboration.
  • Listen to race marshals and adhere to safety instructions throughout the event.
Team Composition

Each team must consist of 3 runners representing their respective company

Relay Structure

  • Each team consists of 3 runners.
  • Each runner will complete 2 rounds of 1.6 KM (Total distance of 3.2 KM).
  • After completion, the next runner on the team will start.
  • The distance covered by each team will be 3 X 3.2 KM (Total distance of 9.6 KM).

Race Process

Starting Point Placement

  • All runners will start from one starting point.
  • Runners 2 and 3 will wait near the starting point until their turn.

Baton Exchange

  • 1st Runner: Completes 2 rounds (3.2 KM) and passes the baton to the 2nd runner at the starting point.
  • 2nd Runner: Starts immediately upon baton handoff, completing 2 rounds (3.2 KM).
  • 3rd Runner: Waits at the starting point and begins their run after receiving the baton from the 2nd runner. 3rd runner will finish the last 2 rounds, completing the team’s total distance of 9.6 KM.

Overtaking Rules

Overtaking Lane

  • Always use the right side of the track to overtake other runners.

Maintain the Highest Standards of Sportsmanship.

  • No pushing, shoving, or physical interference is allowed during the race.
  • Violations may lead to disqualification.
Dress Code & Kit Instructions

Dress Code

  • Wear appropriate running gear and show off your company colors with pride.
  • Runners must wear full trousers, as shorts are not allowed by the park authorities.

Bring Your Own Kit

  • Participants are required to bring their own running kits (shoes, clothes etc).
  • We encourage you to show off in your company branded gear (There might be a surprise award for the best team gear).

Bibs Collection

  • Each runner will receive a bib on the race day.
  • Bibs will be handed out at the event along with the safety pins.
  • Runners must have their bibs visible throughout the race.
Reaching the Venue

Modes of Transportation

  • Participants may arrive by car, bike, or taxi.
  • BRT service is unavailable in the area.
  • Ample parking space is provided near the venue.
  • Participants must arrive at the venue at least 1 hour before the race for registration, warm-up, and bib distribution.

Hydration Stations

  • Hydration stations will be strategically placed at different locations along the race route.
  • Near the starting point to keep participants refreshed and energized.
